One of the most influencing carmakers when it comes to the SUV market and automotive industry in general is definitely Nissan. It delighted us with many amazing, powerful, and good looking models like GT-R, Qashqai, Murano and others. A revamped version of their great Pathfinder will soon join the division. The vehicle dropped camouflage and we finally can see the entire facelift. Many novelties are expected to come for the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder, especially in terms of exterior. Let’s check what Nissan has up its sleeve with the revamped version of the Pathfinder.
Exterior of new 2017 Nissan Pathfinder
This mid-size SUV has always looked pretty handsome and many people praised it for its simple and yet attractive design. This model year, it brings changes on both, front and rear end. When we first saw the Pathfinder during its test drive in October, it was heavily camouflaged and we could barely see anything. Luckily, the carmaker took it for another test drive later and we were finally able to see what has been changed. The spy shots clearly reveal that the vehicle received many upgrades, especially at its front fascia. Its front end is now decorated with V-shaped grille with three bars which run across it. The carmaker also decided to redesign the headlamps. They’re more angular now. The corners of the lower bumper also seem to have been sculpted. Thanks to this change, the carmaker managed to get interesting niches for the fog lights. Also new will be side mirrors, which now seem to be sharper and more aerodynamic. The changes at rear end of the vehicle are so subtle that they are even hard to be discerned. The fenders now look flatter along the side compared to the current Pathfinder. Newly designed taillights are also present. The rear bumper has grown in size.
2017 Nissan Pathfinder Interior
Unfortunately, the spy shots don’t provide any hints at what happened inside of the cabin. We think that the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder will come with subtle aesthetic improvements and with bunch of driver assistance, entertainment, and safety features. Just like before, the cabin of the 2017 Pathfinder will accommodate 7 passengers in three rows of seats, which suggests that this mid-size SUV is perfect for large families. More details about the interior design of the 2017 Pathfinder will be available soon, because it won’t be too long before the carmaker publishes more official details about it.
Nissan Pathfinder 2017 Engine
To meet demands of all customers, the carmaker will offer a choice of trim levels and engines for 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. One of the engines will probably be a 3.5 LITER V6 cylinder DOHC engine coupled to a CVT. In addition to that, the power output of the engine will be around 300 ponies and 250 lb-ft of torque. There are some rumors that fuel economy of the engine will be quite impressive. Allegedly, it will be rated at 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.
Price and release date of 2017 Pathfinder
The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder will go on sale in late 2016. Even though the vehicle will be improved and many features will be added, we believe that the price won’t change much and that the base trim level should start at $30.000.
