Ford sells the most vehicles of all car brands in the United States. While they have lots of models that are selling quite good, they have recently stated that their F-series trucks are the best-selling vehicles in the United States, making these trucks an important part of their car line up. Furthermore, F-series trucks have enabled Ford became the bestselling brand in the United States for five consecutive years. Now, it appears that the Ford will soon unveil a next-generation 2017 Ford F-series Super Duty – one of the most popular versions of the F-series trucks and it will be available in four different body styles: single cab, flatbed, cab-and-chassis and an extended cab.
When it comes to the design of the exterior of the Ford F-series 2017, there are no official images, but some spy photos have recently appeared online. Unfortunately, the next-generation F-series Super Duty is hidden so good, that we can’t even assume the possible changes. However, some of the experts stated that there are going to be lots of changes on the Ford F-series 2017, after doing some closer inspection of the vehicle on the spy shots. First of all, Ford is not going to dramatically change the size and the proportions of the upcoming F-series Super Duty. Still, there are going to be some changes on the front and on the back of the car. The front of the car will most probably have a large chrome grille, that will house the Ford logo and large headlights.
Ford F-series 2017 Interior
Along with the spy images of the exterior, there is also one image of the interior of the 2017 Ford F-series. While it is quite difficult to say what kind of interior is the next F-series Super Duty going to have, there are some small details that can be noticed, even in the spy photo – first of all, it appears that Ford won’t give up on that large and boxy air vents, which is something that lots of reviewers of the current model thought that didn’t look right. The dashboard in the spy image does not have a big touch-screen display or even center console, so we will have to wait for the official unveiling to see the complete list of the features and equipment. The interesting detail on the spy image is the leather steering wheel, which could mean that all Ford F-series 2017 trucks could have leather steering wheel as part of the standard equipment.
2017 Ford F-series Horsepower, Engine
The 2017 Ford F-series engine will surely be offered with the current 6.7 l Power Stroke V8 diesel engine, that produces 440 horsepower and 860 lb-ft of torque, while the base (and the less popular) 6.2l V8 engine that produces 385 horsepower and 405 lb-ft, could be replaced with another engine. Transmission is 10-speed automatic.
2017 Ford F-series Release date and Price
The base price of the new Ford F-series is going to be around $36,000. The new Super Duty should be unveiled by the end of the 2015.
