Honda Odyssey is not well known by that name in Europe, where it’s known as the Honda Shuttle. Honda Odyssey is a medium sized family minivan, being firstly introduced back in 1994. It features single body style, a 5 door minivan and since its first introduction to the public, four generations of the Odyssey have been made, with the fourth being the ongoing model. The Odyssey won many awards since its inception and sold more than 100,000 units every year, making it one of the best selling models of the Honda’s gamut. The competition never sleeps and it is fierce in this segment, as the main competitors of the new Odyssey are the Toyota Sienna, Kia Sedona, Chrysler Town & Country, Mazda 5, to name the few. The new 2016 Honda Odyssey has much to offer, but will that be enough to smoke the competition, is remained to be seen.

Exterior of 2016 Odyssey
The new Odyssey gives a spaceship like impression when you see the car for the first time. It is a large, yet elegant family minivan. Many trim levels of the model will be available to choose from, such as the LX, SE, EX, EX-L, Touring and Touring Elite. The front of the car features powerful look, resembling the hi-tech, hi-speed Tran. As on many new Honda models, the headlights are subtly fused with the front grille to form a single entity. The front grille is large and aggressively designed with chromium stripes ranging to the air intake opening at the bottom of the front bumper.
2016 Honda Odyssey Interior
The inside of the 2016 Honda Odyssey is pretty spacious. It can accommodate up to eight passengers, with enough room even for the largest people. The cockpit is simple and subtle. Large LCD display that features navigation and infotainment system takes most of the room on the central console. It is symmetrically surrounded with two HVAC openings at each side. Only few mechanical buttons are present on the central console and on the steering wheel. Wood elements give the car some sophistication, such as the wooden stripe stretching across the dashboard and some of the wood is located on the door panels, as well.
Engine of new 2016 Honda Odyssey
Engine wise, the new 2016 Honda Odyssey will keep the same engine unit as found on the previous model. It is a 3.5 liter V6 power-plant, outputting around 249 horsepower, having the maximum torque output of 250 pounds feet. The transmission assembly mated to the engine will be a 6 speed automatic, transmitting the power to the front wheel axle. The engine will, in fact, be better at fuel economy, making the car travel 19 miles per gallon in the city, with the remarkable number of 28 mpg on the highway.
Honda Odyssey 2016 Pricing
The new 2016 Honda Odyssey is scheduled for sale sometime in late 2015 or early 2016. The predictions about that are not very accurate and any speculations regarding the correct releasing date would be misinformation. The speculations regarding price state that the starting price point for the base model would start at around $30,000, which is pretty expensive, but officials from Honda sure know what they are doing and the future of the new Odyssey is bright.
