One of the most powerful, production muscle cars that was introduced in last few years is the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. From the day it was unveiled, it was able to catch everyone’s attention and after some testing and reviews everyone could agree that this is an awesome car. However, the US manufacturer is already working on an improved version that will be unveiled soon and it is going to be offered as the 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. While the next model is not going to be an all-new car, Dodge wants to improve the fastest car in their line up.
On the outside, we should not expect any radical changes to the 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. It is still going to be offered in that amazing green color with black details like black hood, black bottom od the front bumper, black sun roof, black rear spoiler along with large black alloy wheels. Since most of the design of the current model was borrowed from the famous model from 1971, so that details will definitely stay. Most likely the biggest changes are going to be new headlights, new taillights, front bumper, rear bumper and new alloy wheels. Since this is a mid-cycle update, any radical changes are less likely to happen and especially when you take in account that the current model is selling quite well, Dodge most likely will stick to what the current model has to offer. Some reports, that have recently surfaced online, suggested that the US manufacturer might use carbon fiber throughout the whole body of the car, but this is not yet confirmed by the manufacturer.
Dodge Challenger Hellcat 2016 Interior
The most notable change is the one that the potential customers will be able to see and touch at the same time is the high quality materials used throughout the cabin, at least according to the official statements – actually, they say that it is going to be much better than what the current model has to offer. Furthermore, the standard trim level will offer the cabin made out of fabric and plastic, while the more expensive version will offer leather and plastic/aluminum combination for the dashboard and door panels. Most of the design of the 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat interior is going to remain pretty much the same, while the list of features and equipment that are going to be offered with the 2016 Hellcat is going to be slightly longer.
2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Specs, 0-60, Engine
Engine is one of the things that are not going to be changed – the redesigned Dodge Challenger Hellcat 2016 will have the same 6.2l V8 supercharger petrol engine that produces unbelievable 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the improved 8-speed automatic transmission, the 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat should go from 0 to 60 in about 3.3 seconds.
2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Release date and Price
The 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat should go on sale by the end of 2015 or in the spring of 2016. The price of the 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat should be around $60,000.
