2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG will be ready to launch soon and is set to come with a wild and powerful look and shall be a derivative of the next-Gen Mercedes Benz C-class. Expected to be powered by a V8 engine twin turbo charged engine the C-63’s performance will greatly rival that of the BMW M3 and that of the Audi RS5.
2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG – Design
The past C63 AMG versions have been seen to deliver thus raising no doubts that the 2015 model will not disappoint. The only downside is that the new model loses the naturally aspirated 6.2l V8 engine with stunning 808HP and its replaced by a twin-turbo-charged 4.0l V8 engine that will calm its buyers and aficionados as well. It is designed to give the upper middle class customer a super-car’s power and shall impart a sizeable halo effect on the entire lineup of the C-class.
Traditionally, the AMG is always differentiated from the C-class by its, distinct grille, large air-intakes, side skirts and a different hind fascia with two pairs of exhausts a pair on each end. This high performance car is engineered for all day use and can easily reach triple digit speeds. It will be differentiated from its lesser siblings by a performance steering wheels, sports seats and a centrally mounted shifter.
The 2105 AMG being derived from the W205 C-class together with the E-class and S-class will share: the chassis, electronic components and power train. The AMG will still be offered with a rear wheel drive with a possibility of a 4MATIC 4WD being along the way.
2015 C63 AMG Engine and Performance
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG will have a better performance than ever before given its twin turbo 4.0l displacement V8 engine which will be also be shared by the forthcoming AMG GT and will be able to produce well over 450hp with a possibility of packing up 100 extra HP yielding a maximum of 550hp with the incorporation of the future clack series iterations. As with the current AMG, the new model shall be available with only the option of an automatic transmission; thereby doing away with annuals in the present and future AMG. The 2015 AMG’s 4.0l engine will be paired toa 7-speed automatic transmission as Affalterbach’s torque rich engines definitely don’t require the 9-speed transmission which have been announced by Daimler for the non-AMG models. Its major competitors are expected to be the BMW M3, Cadillac ATS-V and the Audi RS5
