The Lincoln’s most affordable mid-size luxury sedan is mostly unchanged for 2015, except the top-shelf Black Label trim which comes with luxurious retro styles and a bigger price. Otherwise the very same MKZ that is known as the most comfortable, reliable and fuel-saving luxury sedan, remains the same for 2015, technology features and almost everything else is inherited from the previous model.
As far as the new Lincoln MKZ exterior is concerned, the Lincolns characteristic split-wing grille is still there, giving Lincolns a familiar face, but the rest of the next Lincoln MKZ is a jump from the past design, making it the best looking car to come out of this division since the original 1936 Zephyr. When compared to the 2012 concept, the hood line is a bit higher, but the rest of the new MKZ 2015 has followed the concept design, with a graceful stroke from end to end. Even though the LED lighting in different configurations is now used throughout the entire car industry, the Lincoln company characterizes their LED headlights as class-exclusive.
The LED backlights give a unique signature look, to the MKZ’s back end. Giving a sporty touch to the package, are the 18-inch standard and the 19-inch optional aluminum alloy wheels. 2015 Lincoln MKZ colors: Black Tie, Bronze Fire Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Chroma Couture Premium Metallic, Chroma Flame Premium Metallic, Confidential White, Crystal Silver, Guard Metallic, Ingot Silver Metallic, Luxe Metallic, Magnetic Metallic, Notorious, Platinum Dune Metallic Tri-Coat, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Tuxedo Black Metallic, White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat.
2015 Lincoln MKZ Interior
Inside the new Lincoln MKZ 2015, you will find innovations such as the push-button shifter, which frees up the space in the center stack for features like a massive touchscreen to interface with My Lincoln/Ford Touch, but voice commands are also available. Furthermore, the new center stack now gives the driver’s quarters a feeling of more open space. The MKZ is not as filled with technology and features as its competition, but all the key benefits come as standard or optional, such as a rear-view camera, advanced cruise control for stop-and-go traffic, back sensors, and all the other safety and assist systems that Ford offers.
